Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) set out the legal terms that apply when you purchase products from Alore via shopalore.com (the “Site”) or otherwise interact with us. Please read these Terms carefully. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.


1. Who we are

ShopAlorê is a trading name of Maison Vitae Ltd, registered in England & Wales (Company No. 16718943). Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street
Covent Garden.

If you contact us, please include your order number.


2. Applicability & changes to these Terms

These Terms apply to all sales of products through the Site. We may update these Terms from time to time; the version in force at the time you submit your order will apply to that order. We recommend you print or save a copy for your records.


3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a consumer (not a business) to purchase products on our Site. If you are under 18, you may only use the Site with the involvement of a parent or guardian.


4. Account and security

You may check out as a guest or create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.


5. Products, ingredients and information

We take reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions, HOW-TO guidance and prices appearing on the Site are correct at the time of publication. Packaging may vary from that shown. Ingredient lists, usage instructions and warnings are provided on the product page and on-pack; always read labels before use. Cosmetic products are for external use only. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a professional.


6. Pricing, taxes and availability

Prices are shown in GBP and include VAT (where applicable). Delivery costs are shown separately at checkout. All products are subject to availability. We may change prices or correct errors at any time; if a pricing error affects your order, we will contact you for instructions or cancel your order with a full refund.


7. Order process and contract formation

When you place an order, you will receive an email acknowledging receipt. This is not acceptance. A contract between you and us is formed only when we dispatch the products and send you a dispatch confirmation email. We may decline an order, for example if a product is unavailable, there are pricing or description errors, we cannot obtain payment authorisation, or we reasonably suspect fraud.


8. Payment

We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. Payment is taken when you place your order. You authorise us to charge your chosen payment method for the total order amount, including delivery charges and taxes.


9. Delivery

We deliver to the territories listed at checkout. Delivery dates are estimates only. Ownership of the products passes to you on delivery. Risk of loss or damage passes to you on delivery. If no one is available at your address to take delivery, the carrier may leave a note with re‑delivery or collection instructions.

International delivery

Orders shipped outside the UK may be subject to duties, taxes and import fees, which are your responsibility. Customs processes may cause delays beyond our control.


10. Your right to cancel (cooling‑off)

If you buy online or by phone, you have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days after the day you (or someone you nominate) receive the goods. To cancel, email contact@shopalore.com with your order number to request return instructions. You must send the goods back within 14 days of telling us you’ve cancelled. We will refund the price you paid for the goods and the standard delivery (cheapest) cost, within 14 days of receiving the goods back or receiving evidence that you have sent them, to your original payment method.

Hygiene exception: For sealed cosmetic goods not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons, your cancellation right ends once the seal is broken after delivery. This does not affect your rights in relation to faulty goods.

Return costs (change of mind): You are responsible for the cost of returning goods to us (except where the item is faulty or misdescribed). We do not provide pre‑paid return labels. Please email us first at contact@shopalore.com to obtain the packing slip and return address. Returns sent without prior email may take longer to process. Please keep proof of postage (and tracking where available).

No exchanges & no in‑person returns: We don’t offer physical exchanges or in‑person returns. If you’d like a different item, please place a new order and return the original in line with the above.

Goodwill returns: We do not offer an additional goodwill returns policy beyond your statutory rights.


11. Faulty or misdescribed goods – your legal rights

If a product is faulty, misdescribed or not fit for purpose, you have legal rights which may entitle you to a repair, replacement or refund. Within 30 days of delivery, you may be entitled to a full refund. After 30 days, we may first offer a repair or replacement; if that is impossible or unsuccessful, you may be entitled to a price reduction or final right to reject for a refund. If you reject goods after use, we may make a reasonable deduction for use. These rights exist in addition to any manufacturer warranties and our goodwill returns.

Return postage for faulty items: Where the goods are faulty or misdescribed, we will cover reasonable return postage costs (or provide a pre‑paid method). Please contact us before returning any faulty goods.

To start a faulty item claim, contact contact@shopalore.com with your order number, a description of the issue and photos where helpful.


12. Promotions, discount codes and bundles

Promotions and codes apply to qualifying purchases only and cannot be used in conjunction with other offers unless stated. We may withdraw or amend promotions at any time. Free gifts are subject to availability and must be returned if you return the associated items.


13. Subscriptions (if applicable)

If you choose a subscription, the frequency, price and cancellation terms are shown at sign‑up. We will notify you of any price change in advance and provide instructions to cancel. You can cancel a subscription at any time before your next billing date via your account or by emailing contact@shopalore.com. Subscription discounts do not stack with other promotions unless stated.


14. Gift cards (if applicable)

Gift cards are redeemable only on the Site, are not refundable or redeemable for cash (unless required by law), and may have an expiry date stated at purchase. Treat gift cards like cash; we are not responsible for lost or stolen cards.


15. Reviews and user-generated content

If you post reviews, photos or other content on the Site or our social channels, you grant us a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, adapt, publish and display that content for marketing and promotional purposes in any media, with or without attribution, and to moderate or remove it at our discretion. Please only post content you own and that is lawful, accurate and respectful. We may request proof of purchase to verify reviews.


16. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Site by introducing viruses, scraping data, attempting unauthorised access or using it in any way that is unlawful or harmful. We may suspend or terminate access for breach.


17. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in the Site and our content (including product names, copy, images and logos) are owned by or licensed to us. You may not use them without our permission.


18. Health and safety

Our products are cosmetics intended for external use only and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Always follow usage instructions and patch test if your skin is sensitive. If you are unsure about using a product, consult a qualified professional.


19. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we will not be liable for (a) losses that were not caused by our breach, (b) any business losses, or (c) losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was formed. If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or negligence. Our total liability in respect of any order will not exceed the price paid for the products in that order.


20. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delay or failure to perform due to events outside our reasonable control. If such an event affects your order, we will contact you as soon as possible and take steps to minimise the effect.


21. Complaints and dispute resolution

We aim to resolve complaints quickly—please email contact@shopalore.com. We are not obliged to use alternative dispute resolution (ADR) but may agree to do so with a UK‑certified ADR provider. The EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform is not available to UK traders.


22. Privacy & cookies

Your privacy is important to us. Please see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy (available on the Site) for information about how we collect and process your personal data and how we use cookies and similar technologies.


23. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You and we can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring proceedings in your local courts.
